Mrs. Lydia Pickett Turner, age 84, of the Pulaski Health Care Center, died Thursday evening at the center.
Born Oct 11, 1903, in Durham, N.C, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Fowler Pickett and James Robert Pickett.
She was a retired housemother of Bluefield and Radford Colleges, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Anderson Turner Sr.
Surviving are, one son, H.A. Turner Jr., Pulaski; one daughter, Mrs. Lucy Katherine Sands, Pendleton, Ore., eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. Visiting will be this afternoon, and the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home,
