Eleanor Bliss Wells - 55 years old of Interlachen, Florida, passed on into Jesus' arms, June 9, 2004 after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Father John L. Bliss of Ocala, and her brother John Daniel Bliss.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Raymond Wells, and her Dear Mother Frances Nell Bliss of Ocala. Also many other beloved relatives.
She worked for 18 years in HRS which is now the Dept. of Children and Families as a Social Worker for the elderly. Helping so many people, and making many friends in Putnam county. For many years she was active in The Women's Club of Palatka, and the Church. She sang in the choirs for many years. She was born in Ocala, graduated from Ocala Forest High school. She graduated from the University of West Florida with a BS in Elementary Education. Her greatest love was to crochet baby blankets for special needs babies, in the hospitals. She made hundreds of them by hand over the past 10 years, and sent them all over the country and even to other countries, for the babies. She always prayed as she crocheted the blanket, praying for the baby that was to receive it. She had an internet ministry called "Comforting Special Angels," where she coordinated several other women who also crocheted baby blankets, to receive them and distribute them. She owned the "Jesus Loves You Book Store" in Interlachen, and loved to pray for all the people who came into the store. A viewing will be made at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, with services mto follow at 3 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Pineview Cemetery, in Interlachen.
