Mrs. Juanita Sexton Murray Sanford, 45, Buffalo, N.Y., died at 10:15 o'clock Saturday night, September 13, in Waddell hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Sanford had resided in Buffalo for some time and been a patient at various hospitals in New York before being brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. J. D. Sexton, on the Hillsville highway. She had been a patient in the local hospital for several weeks.
Born in Grayson County, near Summerfield, the deceased woman was a daughter of Mrs. Ollie Hines Sexton, and the late J. D. Sexton. Her first husband, Newt Murray, died a few years ago.
Surviving are the husband; a son, Foster Murray, U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Lee, Va.; the mother, Mrs. Sexton; four sisters, Mrs. T. F. Cus--- and Mrs. Lelia Bedwell, both of Elk Creek; Mrs. Marlin Bedwell, Galax, and Mrs. Willie Kegley, Rt. 2, Galax, and one brother, David C. Sexton, Bristol.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Monday) at ---bury Methodist Church on the Hillsville road. Rev. Lonnie Shaw and Rev. Richard E. Hamlin conducted the services. Interment, under Vaughan-Guynn direction, followed in Felts Cemetery.
