Mrs. Pearl Harrell Vaughan, 86, of 400 Shands Dr., died Monday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Sussex County, and the widow of Collin Ricks Vaughan. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church and a graduate of Farmville State Norman School, now Longwood College, and had been a teacher in Southampton County Public School System. Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie V. Skidmore of Stamford, Conn. and Katherine V. Cobb of Courtland, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Ellie H. Laine of Prince George County; one grandchild, Collin Randolph Skidmore of Stamford, Conn. Graveside funeral service will be held 11:30 A.M. Wednesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin by the Rev. Richard L. McNutt. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, Va. in charge of arrangements.
