SERVICES HELD FOR WELL KNOWN YOUNG FARMER
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church for John F. Chapman, 34, who died suddenly at his home Saturday night, victim of an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. John E. Stayton officiated at the rites. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Gehrig & Son Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Raymond Worster, Orville Langley, Jack Hutchison, Walter Rufenacht, Don Kahl and Homer Fry.
A farmer, Mr. Chapman had lived in this community for 20 years. He was born Aug. 6, 1930, at Yuma, Colo., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Chapman.
Survivors are his widow, Laura, to whom he was married June 9, 1950; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Chapman; one brother, Gaylord; and one sister, Mrs. William Kinnersley, all of Sidney.
