Jesse Leo Baker, 71, of Powderly passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, in his home.
He was cremated by Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home in Commerce. He will be laid to rest at Pine Log Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
His daughter receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at his home.
He was a Navy Veteran and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisha and Rosetta Baker; his son, David Baker; grandson, Tommy Atkinson; brother, Cliff Baker; three sisters, Ethel Parks, Thelma Soloman and Rosie Jones.
Survivors include his children, Pam Atkinson of Delaware, Ark., Keith Baker of Highland Mich., Mike Baker of Jonesboro, Ark., Tracy Halladay of Jonesboro, Ark.; four sisters, Lina Coleman of Truman, Ark., Anna May Dennison of Dyersburg, Tenn., Earline Smitherson of Westland, Mich, Dathel Duffel of Niles, Mich.; one brother, Leon Baker of Overland, Mo.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
