He was retired from the DuPont Company and was a Navy Veteran of WW II having served on the USS Fogg. He was president of the Salem Jaycees and a member of the Mannington Township Board of Education.
Bill and his late wife, Gloria, returned to Townsend's Inlet to retire in 1988 to enjoy fishing, crabbing, clamming and spending winters in FL.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, Rte 9, Ocean View, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
