Virginia C. "Vergie" Mason, daughter of George Washington Mason and Rebecca Jane Gardner Mason. Virgie was born 25 February 1895 in Marion County, Alabama. Her daughter Velma remembered that her mother had been sick for a long time. When Virgie died they put her in the casket and put it in the wagon. Virgie died in 1936 in Wedowee and is probably buried next to Eldon in Auslin Chapel Cemetery. Eldon is the son of David Alexander and Charlotte Frances Mitchell Miles. Eldon and his family built a school house and a church, Auslin Chapel, which is Methodist. Eldon was a farmer all of his life except for nine months when he worked in the coal mines. He lived on his parent's land known around Wedowee as the Old Miles Place. Eldon and Virgie were the parents of ten children:
