Michael K. Johnson, 63, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Hendrick Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery with Deacon Marc Main officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Abilene Funeral Home Chapel, 3349 N. 12th Street.
Mr. Johnson was born March 8, 1948, in Algona, Iowa to the late Doyle and Peggy Johnson.
Survivors include wife, Elisa Johnson, a son, Jorge Gross; two daughters, Elisa Arredondo and husband, Marco and Sophia M. Johnson; two step-sisters, Penny Weitzel and husband, Richard and Tammy Kelley and husband, Chris; three step-brothers, Edward "Buster" Abbas, Timmy Abbas and Tommy Abbas; four nephews, five grandchildren, and two nieces.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Michael Karlos Johnson; his parents, his step-father, Edward Abbas; two aunts, Fannie Lee and Aunt Eula.
