John Loy Storm
John Loy Storm, 92, died Monday at his home in Plains of natural causes.
He was born June 20, 1893, in Strasburg, Ill. To Charles and Minnie Storm. He moved to Montana in 1912 and homesteaded south of Finch.
On Nov. 25, 1915, he married Ethel V. Bean.
Mr. Storm farmed in the Finch area until 1946 and during the war worked in Bremerton, Wash. and Smelterville, Idaho. He then was employed for several years at the Bunker Hill Mining Co. in Kellogg, Idaho, and the Anaconda Aluminum Plant in Columbia Falls. He moved to Shelbyville, Ill. In 1959 where he lived until coming to Plains to live with his daughter in February 1982.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, John E. Storm, who died in 1968.
Survivors include his daughter, Dora Mae Dickerson, Plains; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday at the Forsyth Cemetery under the direction of the Beals Mortuary in Forsyth. The Rev. James E. Dickinson officiated. Memorial services were held Sunday at the Paradise Methodist Church following regular Sunday services. The Rev. Dickinson officiated. Shrider Funeral Home in Plains was in charge of arrangements.
