"Hi! Her death certificate is under the name "Jane O'Connor" and it says she was buried in "Greenlawn" cemetery in South Amherst. I checked the Find A Grave cemetery database and the OHGENWEB/Lorain County website and this website and there is no such cemetery by that name. There is, however, the Evergreen cemetery. Was this just an error on the death certificate or was Evergreen once known as Greenlawn? I hope I'm not sending a volunteer photographer on a "wild goose chase" here, but I went with what seemed the most logical choice. So thank you to the kind soul who claims this request." T.N.

On July 29, 2013, I received the following emailed note from Find A Grave: "We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for Jennie O'Connor. The general problem they reported is: Cemetery office has no record of this person. They also reported, specifically: Evergreen does not have any records of this person being buried there."
On January 31, 2014, I again requested a photo of Jennie's marker and included the following note:
"Hi! If you click on the image of the death certificate, you will see at the bottom that Jennie was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery. Well, there IS no such cemetery by that name in Amherst. Earlier I tried to find her in Evergreen but the folks there say she's not on their records. So I set up a RootsWeb message board and, just today, got the following reply:
"Greenlawn Cemetery in Amherst became Ridge Hill Cemetery. Jane's husband that is listed on her death certificate is buried there with a new wife that he married in 1952. I can't find her listed as being buried there, but you may want to give it a try."

"Hi! Her death certificate is under the name "Jane O'Connor" and it says she was buried in "Greenlawn" cemetery in South Amherst. I checked the Find A Grave cemetery database and the OHGENWEB/Lorain County website and this website and there is no such cemetery by that name. There is, however, the Evergreen cemetery. Was this just an error on the death certificate or was Evergreen once known as Greenlawn? I hope I'm not sending a volunteer photographer on a "wild goose chase" here, but I went with what seemed the most logical choice. So thank you to the kind soul who claims this request." T.N.

On July 29, 2013, I received the following emailed note from Find A Grave: "We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for Jennie O'Connor. The general problem they reported is: Cemetery office has no record of this person. They also reported, specifically: Evergreen does not have any records of this person being buried there."
On January 31, 2014, I again requested a photo of Jennie's marker and included the following note:
"Hi! If you click on the image of the death certificate, you will see at the bottom that Jennie was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery. Well, there IS no such cemetery by that name in Amherst. Earlier I tried to find her in Evergreen but the folks there say she's not on their records. So I set up a RootsWeb message board and, just today, got the following reply:
"Greenlawn Cemetery in Amherst became Ridge Hill Cemetery. Jane's husband that is listed on her death certificate is buried there with a new wife that he married in 1952. I can't find her listed as being buried there, but you may want to give it a try."
