Floy Braddy was a long time resident of Montgomery. She was married to John Paul Braddy. Prior to John's death, the couple were active in hot air ballooning and traveling the Continental United States in their RV. Floy was an antique dealer in Montgomery for over 30 years and owned her own business, Floy Braddy Antiques. BRADDY, Floy Ellen, 80, Montgomery, Alabama, died Monday, June 28, 2010 in her home. Floy was born July 22, 1929 in Adel, Iowa, to Pearl and Dwaine Spillers and was a long time resident of Montgomery. She was married to John Paul Braddy. Prior to John's death, the couple were active in hot air ballooning and traveling the continental United States in their RV.
Floy was an antique dealer in Montgomery for over 30 years and owned her own business, Floy Braddy Antiques. Her love of antiques and people brought her to handling many estate sales throughout the area and she made hundreds of friends along the way.
She is survived by her children, Shannon (Steve) Bockman, Lecky King, Paul Braddy and Jody (David) Herring; grandchildren, Sam (Angie) Routh, Colby Kennedy, Tiffany (Michael) McElvey, Tara (Jake) Russell, Shelby Braddy, Alex Herring and Molly Herring; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Renee Griffith, and a host of loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Braddy, sister, Gloria McNurlen and son-in-law, Don King.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral
The family asks in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of Montgomery, 1111 Holloway Park, Montgomery, AL 36117.
