Mrs. Jessie DAVIS

Mrs. Jessie I. DAVIS, 78, died in the West Texas Medical Center Thursday at 5:10 p.m.

She was born March 18, 1893, in Greenville and was married to K. A. DAVIS in Erick, Okla., in 1914, and moved to Abilene from Erick in 1936.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church with Gerald CATES, pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church officiating. He will be assisted by Jerry POTECT, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of Elliott's Funeral Home.

Survivors are her husband of the home at 1188 Burger; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold LEE of 1326 Victoria and Mrs. Ruby SHADDIX of 518 Westmoreland; one son, Chester DAVIS of Midland; two brothers, French MORGAN of Erick, Okla. and Roy MORGAN of Albuquerque, N. M.; three sisters, Mrs. Willie ROBERTS of Enid, Okla., Mrs. Minnie CRANE of San Francisco, Calif. and Mrs. Winnie DAVIS of Palo Alto, Calif.; five grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Hazel DAVIS, on March 25, 1969.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Arnold LEE at 1326 Victoria.
