Anna Castle, one of eight children born to Giles and Jane Castle, was born on November 4, 1873, at Camp Point, Illinois, and passed away last Sunday morning, March 20, 1949, after a long period of poor health.
February 4, 1920, she married E. A. Fouts, of Bradford. They lived in this community during the 29 years of their married life. She was a member of the Methodist church here.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna, Charlotte and Eva Castle. She is survived by her husband, E. A. Fouts, four brothers, Lemuel Castle, of Kansas City, Missouri; William Castle, of Princeton, Charles Castle, of Camp Point; and Fred Castle, in California. She also leaves a son by a former marriage [she married James F. Pride Nov. 19, 1891, Knox Co., Ill.], Claude Castle Pride, who lived in Morris Plaines, New Jersey; and two grandchildren; three stepchildren, Mrs. C. O. Capperune, of Peoria, Mrs. Herbert Drawyer and Levi Fouts, both of Bradford, and the widow of a step-son, Mrs. Martha Fouts and son David Fouts, of Toulon.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Marsh and Dunlap chapel with Rev. Austin Rodgers officiating. Burial was in the Bradford cemetery.
