Mary Margaret McKenzie, 82, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003, in a local hospital.

She was a former employee with Cutter Laboratory, where she was employed for 30 years.

She was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church and was a member of the Meigs County Home Demonstration Club for many years.

Her parents, Alfred Eugene and Hattie Fine Colbaugh, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, J.T. McKenzie of Georgetown; two children and spouses: Dean and Carol McKenzie of Cleveland, and Maxine and Lester Elkins of Charleston; six grandchildren: Cyndee Elkins McDaniel, Marseata Lockhart, Tim McKenzie, Kim Lewis, Debbie Elliott and Mickey McKenzie; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Powell of Big Spring; one brother, Hoyt Colbaugh of Harrison; caretakers: Ollie Farris and Laura Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Purdie and Pastor Johnny Jones officiating. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at Beta Cemetery with N. C. Cartwright, Eddie Stout, Glenn McDaniel, Johnny Lewis, Kermit Grissom and Nathan Myers serving as pallbearers.

Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
