NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.–Janice Susan Bane, 61 of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., died unexpectedly of natural causes on July 1, 2013.

Susan was a native of Pulaski. She attended Pulaski High School, East Tennessee State University and Johns Hopkins University. She resided and worked in Alexandria for several years before permanently moving to North Myrtle Beach. Susan's last years were spent happily at North Myrtle Beach where she was surrounded by many loving friends and her two precious dogs, Magnolia and Andy. Thankfully, just as Susan would have wanted, loving homes have been found for both of them. Susan was a beautiful, intelligent, lovely young lady who loved dancing and loved her life at the beach with her two little dogs and all of her friends. She will be missed.

She is the daughter of Virginia (Starr) Hill Bane and Donald McGuire Bane, both deceased. Susan is the granddaughter of Fred and Sarah Bane and Katherine and Lester Hill, all from Pulaski. Susan is survived by her uncle William Hill and aunt Jewell Hill of Abingdon, and her aunt, Mary Nell Byrd of Hershey, Pa., as well as many cousins and other relatives who remember her fondly.

There will be a private, family-only service at a later date.

A message of condolence may be sent to [email protected].

Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.
