Clayton Lee Dean, 59, died Monday, Aug. 16, at his home in Shawnee.

He was born April 4, 1945, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Lewis Albert Dean Sr. and Helen Virginia (Gillam) Dean.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, who served in Vietnam.

He belonged to the Oklahoma Equestrian Trail Riders Association.

His parents and an infant brother preceded him in death.

Survivors include five daughters, Vanessa Marshall of St. Paul, Minn., Anne White and husband, Shawn, of Konawa, Carol Cook and husband, Kevin, of Shawnee, Mary Howerton and husband, Bruce, of Denver, Colo., and Ariane Dean-Cabral and husband, Jose, of Murtaugh, Idaho; son-in-law, Paul Marshall of Shawnee; sister, Karen Herndon and husband, Neal, of Lebanon, Kan.; brother, Lewis Albert Dean II of Niotaze, Kan.; grandchildren, Lindsay and Lauren Keene, Landon Rodriguez, Lexi White, Carolann, Craig and Martin Marshall, Tyler and Carley Dean, Jaime Crundwell and Mayte and Alyssa Cabral; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel in Shawnee.

Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
