Joshua Barnum Sr's oldest child, Patience (Barnum) Boland, [b. -1804 d. +1840] married Asa H. Boland in Erie Co, New York; they migrated to Russian Township, Loraine Co, Ohio - in 1835 Patience, her daughter Charlotte and M. Boland were among the signers of the Oberlin Anti-Slavery Society Constitution (strongly affiliated with the Underground Railroad in Ohio)...see the history of Oberlin College, Loraine, OH. [the Boland gravesite is unknown]

After Joshua died, his children sold farmstead to brother Leonard Barnum. Son Calvin Barnum migrated to Oakland County, Michigan and is buried there with his wife Eveline Jennings in the Montrose Cemetery. Son Joshua Barnum Jr. migrated from Newstead Twp, Erie County, NY to Cedar Twp, Callaway County, Missouri in 1868. - they joined the Prospect M.E. Church in Cedar City, Callaway Co, Missouri, where they are buried in the old quaint Prospect M.E. Cemetery. Many of their descendants were Baptist and are buried in the Union Hill Baptist Cemetery in Fulton. (Cedar City and Fulton are ten miles south of Jefferson City, Missouri).
