Served in Co. A, 1st Michigan Engineers (1863-1865). Propoted to Full Corporal on Nov. 1, 1864; Enlisted in Co. A, MI 1st Eng Reg on Jan 2, 1864; promoted to Full Sergeant on June 8, 1865; Mustered out on Sept. 22, 1865 at Nashville, TN.
