Susie Halvorson
Funeral services were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Goodrich chapel at Durand for Mrs. Susie Halvorson, 56. The Rev. Thomas Hoelter of St. John Lutheran church officiated and burial was in Arkansaw cemetery.

Mrs. Halvorson died Tuesday, Oct. 19, in the nursing home at Durand, where she resided several weeks. The former Susie Livingston was born Jan. 12, 1926 in the town of Frankfort, a daughter of Lloyd and Cora Bishop Livingston. She was married to Vern Cataract and they lived in Arkansaw until moving to Durand in 1966. He died in 1975. Mrs. Cataract was remarried Oct. 16, 1977, with Lennie Halvorson and they resided at Strum, where he died in 1980.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Carol) Johnson of Durand, and six grandchildren. In addition, there are three half-sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Stuewer and Mrs. Cynthia Anderson of Durand and Mrs. Mina Mercer of Eau Claire.
