Maudie Belle Bragg Crim Core, 93, of Rachel, and formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away Monday (Jan. 29, 2007) at her daughter's residence following an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Harrison County, a daughter of the late Daniel Clayton and Lucy Blanche Linger Bragg.

Mrs. Core was an antique dealer, and owned several shops through the years including "Trash and Treasures," and enjoyed playing dominoes. She attended the Downs United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Core, of Hundred; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Shirley and John Starsick, Rachel, Genevieve and Paul Stout, Plum Run, Bertha Barth, San Antonio, Texas, and Lou and James Allison, Hundred; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dewain and Cecilia Crim, Denville, N.J., and Lester Crim, Summerville, S.C.; 27 grandchildren; 47-great grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Okey Crim, who died in 1964; one brother, Earl Bragg; a grandson; and great grandson.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 500 E. Main St., Mannington, today from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Floyd Spatafore Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Wadestown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Corp.
