Mrs. Laura Griffey, who resided in thsi city from 1911 to 1923 died at Rockford, Ill., last Friday March 25, at the age 51 years. The remains were brought to this city for burial, funeral services being held at the Methodist Episcopal church Monday, Rev. Holsington officiaing. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery.
Laura Cramer was born at Mineral Point April 21, 1880. She was united in marriage to George Griffey in Milwaukee, June 1, 1903. Mr. Griffey died in 1916. The family made their home in this city from 1911 to 1923 at which time they moved to Madison, moving to Rockford, Ill., about a year ago.
Left to mourn her loss are three children: Merle Griffey of Prairie Farm, Elizabth Griffey and Marion Anderson of Rockford, Ill., and four grandchildren.
