MARIA CHRISTINA SCHEULEN:
On Sept. 4, 1840, a daughter, Maria Christina Scheulen, was born to Peter Wilhelm Scheulen and Maria Catharina Lock, in Bosinghoven, Kreis Krefeld, Germany. She was the third of the couple's children, the first of whom died at birth. On the 6th of July in 1841, a group of Locks and Scheulens were granted permission to emigrate to the U.S. Among this group of 26 persons, was Peter Wilhelm Scheulen, carpenter, of Boeninghoven, his wife Maria Catharina Lock, and their two daughters, Maria Gertrude Scheulen and Maria Christina Scheulen.
