Thomas Tony Cody was born at Beaumont, Kan., December 3, 184, and died at his home at 404 E. 3rd St., June 8.
At the age of 12 he moved with his parents, brothers and sisters to near Ames from Illinois.
Mr. Cody was a member of the National Guard. He had been employed at Central Building at Iowa State University, Ames Post Office, Union Story Trust and Savings Ban, Ames City Hall and Sheldon Munn Motel.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and a longtime member of its official board, a position he held at the time of his death.
Survivors include two sons, Frederick of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and William, Nevada; five daughters, Mrs. Opal Fisher and Ruth Cody, both of Ames, Evelyn Cody of Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Dorothy Harrelson, Nevada and Mrs. Helen Helgeland of McCallsburg; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Dennis, Waterloo; a brother, Frank, Dexter and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie and daughter Gladys.
A memorial fund has been established at the Assembly of God Church.
