Edna E. Shelton, 94, of Cisne, died October 2, 1987, at Cisne Manor where she had been a resident for the past three years.

She was the mother of Fred Shelton.

Mrs. Shelton was born in Richland County December 4, 1892, the daughter of Asa and Adeline (Gard) Gibson. She married Eldon Shelton, who preceded her in death

She was a housewife and member of the Enterprise United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Cisne American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother.

Among survivors are two sons, Fred and Virgil; four daughters, Delph Anderson, Ilene Camfield, Mary Lou Stahl, and Eva Eckleberry; a granddaughter whom she raised, Betty Sue Utterback; twelve grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating.

Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield.
