Rites To Be Saturday for Dick Pavlat

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the Craig-Holechek Funeral Home for Richard Pavlat, 85, a longtime resident of the Lodgepole and Sunol communities who died at Memorial Hospital last Wednesday morning. The Rev. Henry Hoffman of the Lodgepole Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will b in Greenwood Cemetery of Sidney with military graveside rites. Mr. Pavlat was born March 29, 1883 at Hanover, Kan. to John and Mary Tehel Pavlat. He came to the Lodgepole community with his parents in 1887 and spent the remainder of his life in this area. He served with the navy in World War I, was a member of the American Legion and World War I Veterans and was active in community projects. He worked as a carpenter. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Smith of Lodgepole and Mrs. Emil Englert of Denver, Colo.; and two brothers, Millard Pavlat of Boise, Idaho and Henry of Denver.
