Isham Corn was the son of James Corn and Mildred "Millie" Vernon, and one of 9 known children born to that couple. He died of Typhoid Fever during the Civil War, while stationed in Cincinnati, Ohio as a private of the 27th Ohio Infantry. This is listed on the U.S. Registers of Deaths of Volunteers 1861-1865.
