Mrs Louis Betchtlheimer, 76, of Des Moines, a former Rhodes resident for 25 years and a former school teacher here, died Thursday evening in Broadlawn Hospital in Des Moines following a heart attach.

Almyra Bechtelheimer was the daughter of James and Ellen Daughtery and was born at Rhodes May 10, 1865. She taught school in and near RHodes and was a member of the Methodist Protestant church. She was married to Louis Bechtelheimer November 12, 1890 and they moved to Des Moines in 1891 where they have since resided. She became a member of the Central Church of Christ at that place. One son Everett preceded her in death March 15, 1928 and also four sisters and one brother. Surviving are her widower and three grandchildren, Donald, Doris and Wayne Bechtelheimer of Los Angeles, California and three cousins, Mrs Molly Johnson of Rhodes, Mrs Mae Fisher and John Ferguson of State Center. She leaves many friends in Des Moines and Rhodes.

Funeral services were held from the Daplstrom Funeral Home in Des Moines Sunday afternoon and from the Rhodes Methodist Church, Rev Carl A Crouse assisting Rev Lloyd Holm. Burial was in Eden cemetery at Rhodes.
