Yesterday At Old Union

Ora P. Hines passed away at his home east of here at 1:20 a. m. Monday morning, following an illness of several weeks. He was 85 years of age. Mr. Hines had resided in this vicinity all his life. He was born in Boone County on October 14, 1877, the son of David and Sarah (Phillips) Hines. He had been engaged in farming in Hendricks County for many years. On December 21, 1898, he married Dora L. Pratt in Boone County. She passed away on December 8, 1947. He later married Etta Mae Oliver, who survives.
Mr. Hines was a member of the Old Union Congregation Christian Church north of Jamestown. Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Goldia Siedentop of Knox, and Mrs. Mozella Alexander of near Lizton; two sons, Donald Hines and Walter Hines residing east of Jamestown; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Old Union Congregation Christian Church. Burial was in the Old Union Cemetery.
