Mrs John Gilbert died August 6 at her home in Greenvillage after an illness of about nine weeks. She was a member of the United Brethren Church at Newburg. She is survived by her husband, John Gilbert; one son, Harry of Harrisburg; three daughters, Mrs Sue Rotz of Shippensburg; Mrs Joseph Ramp of Chambersburg; Mrs John Grove of Hummelstown; also two sisters, Mrs Ross Watson of Shippensburg and Mrs Sarah Mixel of Iowa, and one brother John Barrick of near Mt Tabor, and fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran Church in Greenvillage, conducted by the Rev Dr Grimm, assisted by the Rev Dr Asper, and the Rev Oberholtzer. Burial was made in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
