Thelma K. Merrell, age 102 of Temple, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at a local care center. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, January 26, 2015 at Bellwood Memorial Park with Loyd Hall officiating.
Mrs. Merrell was born on August 1, 1912 in Madison County, Texas to the late Oscar A. Kelton and Beulah Parten Kelton. She married William Autry Merrell on January 23, 1936 and he preceded her in death in April of 2001. She worked for Gold Kist, a peanut processing company, in Comanche, Texas for 14 years. Thelma lived in Comanche and Stephenville before moving to Temple in 1981. She was a member of Ave. T Church of Christ. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her daughters, Lanita Anglin of Fossil, Oregon and Autie Doerr of Austin; two granddaughters, Karin Doerr and Carlita Anglin; two grandsons, Brian Anglin and Kris Doerr; two great granddaugthers and five great grandsons.
