He retired as a comptroller for the Weyerhauser Co. and was a member of Williamstown Mason Lodge 166 in New Jersey and the Sahib Temple in Sarasota.
He graduated from the Wharton School of Business and was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was a Lutheran.
urvivors include his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Jana Martin of Sarasota; a son, Stephen Taylor of Kirksville, Mo.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
