Ethel "Leona" Smith, age 40 departed this life Tuesday afternoon at 4:50 p.m. at her residence in Dalton.
She is was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Lawson White & Millie Mae (Wood) Ellis, buried in the Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, Murray Co., GA ; Parents, Thomas Edd Ellis in 1933 & Sophranie (Mills) Ellis in 1947. Both buried in the Center Valley Cemetery. And a sister, Stella (Ellis) Presley. She was also buried in the Center Valley
Infant Son, Trammell Smith 1 day old in 1928, and infant daughter, Sybel Joyce Smith 1 month old in 1941. Both buried in the Center Valley Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Roy J. Smith. (Married March 15, 1923) Two daughters and sons-in-law, Edna Earl(Smith)& Amos McMillan, Wilma Loise (Smith) & J.O. Kelley.
One granddaughter, Charlotte Marie McMillan.
Three sisters, and brothers-in-law, Sybil B.(Ellis)& Fletcher P. Bond Sr., Myrtle "Exie" (Ellis) & William "Stewart" McCamy, and Ora Bell (Ellis) Presley.
Three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur "Henry" & Lela (Stuart) Ellis, Robert "Erskine" & Lucy (McCamey) Ellis , and Troy Edgar & Mildred (Dunn) Ellis.
