Homer Lee George, age 76, passed at his residence on April 20th, 2003. He was a graduate of William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Miss., a retiree of the American Red Cross after 25 years service, owned and operated "George's Cleaners" in North Atlanta, finally retiring to Ellijay, GA. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Georgia Mountain Hospice, Post Office Box 580, Jasper, GA. 30143. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathryn Havard George of Ellijay, GA; daughters and son in-law, Wynn and Tom Pencek of Woodstock, GA, and Candace George Burden of Ellijay, GA; sons and daughter in-law, David M. George of the Philippine Islands, and Havard and Beth George of Atlanta, GA; grandson, David Lee George of Ellijay, and sister, Winifred Gray George of Ellijay, GA; nieces and nephews.
