Dr. Lilly Roberts, 76, died in a Fort Worth Hospital, Tuesday, November 6, 1951. Dr. Roberts recently suffered a stroke and had been a patient at the hospital for the past week. She came to Milam County with her parents when only six weeks old from Alabama. Her parents were among the earliest settlers in this county. The Roberts family has been prominent in the history of the county. After completing her high school education she attended several medical schools. Dr. Roberts was a life long member of the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Business and Professional Women Club, Rebekah Lodge, and the Tarrant County Medical Association. She had practiced medicine at Fort Worth for the past 39 years. She was a sister of the late Luther Roberts and Mrs. A.H. Baskin, Sr., of Cameron. Funeral services were scheduled from the Chapel of the Robinson Mueller Harper Funeral Home at Fort Worth at 9:30 A.M., Thursday November 8. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery with Marek-Burns directing the local arrangements. Surviving are three sisters; Mrs. John Coleman of Fort Worth, Mrs. Sue Stoneham and Mrs. Tom Mardin of Childress, other relatives surviving are A.H. Baskin, Jr., Mrs. Rosalie Robinson, Mrs. Lola Mae Davs of Cameron, Vernon Roberts of Dallas, Alvin Roberts of Vernon and Ben Baskin of Bryan. Cameron Herald, November 15, 1951
