Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Jones & Son Chapel in Hattiesburg, for Mr. Davis "Dude" Armstrong, 75, of Ellisville who died July 9, 2013 at Jones County Rest Home in Ellisville. Bro. Dan Atkinson will officiate at the services with burial to follow in the Foxworth Cemetery at Foxworth.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Armstrong, Keith Armstrong, Raymond Armstrong, Brett Armstrong, Ty Armstrong and Clay Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Armstrong, Richard Lewis, Brad Armstrong and Mathis Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong was retired as an over the road truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Viree Armstrong; two daughters, Debbie West and Lonora Ann Armstrong, and a brother, J.B. Armstrong.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Walters of Laurel; two sons, Ralph Davis Armstrong of McLain and David Johnson of Kokomo; a brother Connor R. Armstrong of Madison; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Armstrong will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2013 at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
