In a cave on his parents' farm, Andrew was born along with his twin sister Angie Pearl. He served during World War I in the Provisional Wagoneer Unit in France. Settling on a farm near the Solomon River, he married Isabella Mary Boultinghouse and raised two daughters. A third generation Osborne County farmer, he loved working the fields, raising cattle, and riding horses. To give back to his community, he was a member of the school board for Riverside School and of the Masons. He believed in helping his neighbors and friends. He was affectionately called "Gramps" by his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness and gentleness.
