Twin to Holland D. Hoots - there appears to be a birth certificate for "Hellen," but not Holland. Apparently her birth is listed as 27 September 1920.

Helen Elizabeth Hoots, age 92 of Winchester, departed this life, to return to her Lord to be made whole again on April, 2nd 2013. She will be missed by family, friends, visitors, and especially the fine, caring staff of the Golden Living Nursing Home Center on the by-pass in Winchester, where Helen was their longest tenured resident (31 years).

Helen was born on September 25th, 1920 in Lincoln County, [TN]. She was a twin and the youngest of 10 children born to John Dwight Hoots and Elizabeth Ann Sullivan of Mulberry, TN.

She never married and had no children. She faced life-long challenges after being injured in an automobile accident at the age of 4. She was cared for by her mother until her death in 1951, and thereafter by her sisters, Ruby Patrick, and Cynthia Heath.

In 1982 she came to find her new home, as an active volunteer and resident at the nursing home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers – John Henry, Roy Ashley, William B., Floyd Travis (Hap), James Thomas, and Holland (Sonny) Hoots, and 3 Sisters – Cynthia Lena-Belle Heath (Mrs. Clarence David Heath**; 28 January 1908 - 1 January 1992; Murfreesboro), Mildred (Bess) Davis, and Ruby Rae Patrick (Lewis Milford Patrick).

She is survived by James D. Patrick (nephew), The Villages, FL; Janice Patrick (niece), Murfreesboro; Sue Kinningham (niece) Cowan, Mike Patrick (great-nephew), Christiana, Doug Patrick (great-nephew), Murfreesboro; Penny Patrick (great-niece), Murfreesboro; Jimmy Patrick (great-nephew), Murfreesboro; Rick Tettlebach (great-nephew), Murfreesboro; and many other great-nephews and -nieces.

Helen received the sacrament of Holy Baptism at the Buckeye Baptist Church, Mulberry, TN and re-confirmed her life in Jesus Christ by becoming a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Winchester in 1978.
