Marjorie F. Luther, age 85, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester.

Marjorie Frances Barclay was born October 24, 1927 in Minneapolis to Loretta Barclay and Lynn Shortridge. She attended school in Minneapolis and later moved to Austin. It was at the Terp Ballroom that she met Raymond C. Luther. They married in 1957 in Austin and raised a child, Julie. They later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and then to Colorado Springs and then Denver, Colorado to be with Julie. Raymond died in 2001 in Denver. Marjorie and Julie moved back to Austin in August of 2012.

Marjorie was a loving and caring person. She liked to build dollhouses, and enjoyed doing puzzles, reading books, knitting and making ceramics. She was a homemaker and worked for a time as a seamstress.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Kroeger, Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents Lynn and Loretta, her husband, Raymond, three children, Darrell, Donald, and Janice Bottelson.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Reverend Kristi Koppel officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Friends may call one half hour before the service on Wednesday.
