Shirley G. Sappe, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 8, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Marchman officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 12, 2013 from Noon until service time at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Lawrence Drive Baptist Church, Building Fund, 5774 School Road, Macon GA 31216.
Mrs. Sappe was born in Twiggs, County to the late Ellis and Hattie G. Gresham, Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ellis Gresham, Jr. Mrs. Sappe was a retired registered nurse with the Middle Georgia Hospital. She was an active member of Lawrence Drive Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class, Women on Missions, AGAPE Senior Adult, and H2U at Coliseum Medical Center. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
