Peter Tallman was born about 1623 in Hamburg Germany to Henry [Heinrich Taelmon] (ca. 1586-ca. 1619) and Ann. (ca.1586-?).
1646 - appointed Burgher, Hamburg
1647 - immigrated to Barbados
2 Jan 1649 - married Ann Hill at Christ Church Parish, Barbados. His name is erroneously listed as Peter "Solomon."

His occupation is listed as Apothecary.

13 Sep 1649 = sailed on the DOLPHIN from Barbados to Rhode Island. Residing in Newport in 1650.
1651 - engaged an an interpreter for New Amsterdam's trading with the Delaware Indians.
20 May 1652 - styled as "Dutchman" in Hartford CT records.
1655 - resided in Newport RI.

He owned land on Martha's Vineyard and also bought land from the Indians in Plymouth Colony [Dartmouth]. His name appears in the records of Connecticut and Flushing, Long Island. Acted as an interpreter between Engloiah and Dutch in New Amsterdam.

May 1665 - divorced Ann.
1658 - resided in Portsmouth
1661/2 - appointed General Solicitor for the Colony of RI.
1662/63 - Appointed Deputy.

Married, 1665 in RI [2] Joan Briggs and fathered 6 children.
Married 1686 in Ri (3] Esther and fathered one child unnamed.
1702 -moved to Guilford CT
1708 - returned, again, to Portsmouth RI

Peter died intestate. His inventory was presented to the court on 8 May 1708.
