Son of Earl and Jenny Sanders Mcmanaway Brother of Willard and Lillian, husband of Betty Darlene Johnson Mcmanaway, father of Carl Dewayne and Jenny Marie, grandfather of Baine, Chynna Megan, Joshua,Elizabeth,Carl Jr. and Faith Daniele
"Elzie" as he was known, loved fishing, hunting, his CB radio, he was a family man and just a good ol boy. His passing left a hole that can never be filled.

In May of 1970 I became Mrs.Elza McManaway. I said I signed on for life. Boy,was I surprised by the ride through life with Elza. How to describe him for those few who don't or didn't know him. He was a happy man always with a smile for you. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked for it,just don't steal it. He was full of mischevious and loved to pull pranks. When they cleaned out his locker at work it was full of water pistals, yet he would go the extra mile to give assistance to anyone who needed it. I remember one winter in the 1970's we had a blizzard and he wrapped up up and walked up and down hwy.60 and 69 to give hot coffee to our city, state, and county law officers. He was not hollywood handsome, but he was more beautiful by far than anything hollywood ever produced.
He loved hunting and fishing and worked harder at them and brought in the least of anyone. He did his part in the U.S. Army and was a SPEC 4 when he mustered out. His beauty and light was put out on July 20,1987 by a serial killer called Cancer. He is in heaven with his 2 babies and our parents. I know he is keeping it hopping there.
I love you Elza Mc. It was a beautiful trip with you. I miss you Watash.
