Eliel L Sharpneck Is Taken by Death
Eliel Long Sharpneck, 77, native of West Virginia and resident of Bakersfield for 16 years, who during his lifetime had proved a successful attorney, mechanical engineer, draftsman and inventor, died last night at his home, 630 Lincoln street. He leaves only a widow, Mrs. Nellie Sharpneck, for his parents, many brothers and sisters, all preceded him in death. The inventor of Kern came to Bakersfield from Boston.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday night at 7:30 o'clock at the Hopson Mortuary. Interment will be in Union cemetery.
