"He was born Ronald Harold Bethel on February 26, 1948 in East Chicago, Indiana to the late Lonnie and Myrtie Howard Bethel. Ronnie was raised in Jim Ned where he graduated from Jim Ned High School. He has been a resident of Coleman for 25 years moving here from Winters. On February 24, 2003 Ronnie married Beckey Stewart in Coleman, Texas and they celebrated ten years of marriage. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Ronnie was a member of the Baptist church and was a carpenter and also worked for the City of Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Beckey Bethel of Coleman, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Black of Winters, Texas; one step-daughter, Marjorie Stewart of Dallas, Texas; two step-sons, James Stewart of Coleman, Texas and Shane Stewart of Coleman, Texas; a brother, John and wife Shirley Bethel of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Patricia Barrett of Coleman, Texas; one grandson; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson.
