MUNCIE--Mr. Junior O. Conner, 62, Muncie, died at his residence Thursday morning following an extended illness. A native of Reed Station, he was the son of Virgil and Laura Nauman Conner and had been a resident of this area all of his life. Mr. Conner attended Yorktown schools and retired from BorgWarner in March 1999 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie 231.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Annie Wooten Conner; two daughters, Kim and Vickie; a son, Ronnie; two stepdaughters; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a niece.
Two brothers, Melvin Conner and Raymond Conner, and a sister, Elizabeth Kindal, are deceased.
Services for Mr. Conner will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Parson Mortuary with Pastor Harry Halloway officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. today and prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Eagles Lodge Aerie 231 will conduct memorial services at 7 p.m. today in Parson Mortuary.
