Mrs. Ann Goolsby Shroyer, age 49, of Crockett, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in the East Texas Medical Center-Tyler. She was born March 6, 1964 in Crockett and had lived in Crockett most of her lifetime. Mrs. Shroyer was a past member of the Pilot Club and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Crockett serving in many roles but was most fond of her Jr. High Sunday School class. She had worked as a family consultant with the Burke Center in the Early Childhood Development Program for 25 years working with children from birth to 3 years of age. Ann graduated from Latexo High School in 1982 and attended Sam Houston State University where she earned a Masters Degree in Education. Ann enjoyed traveling and the outdoors with her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed several trips to Idaho and South Dakota and was most fond of the New Years spent with family and friends in Paint Rock, TX. Ann was a faithful, dedicated wife to John for 25 years and a loving mother to Rebecca and Rachel. She impacted the lives of many children and youth through her profession, involvement at Church and helping friends and family in need.

Survivors include husband, John Shroyer, Jr. of Crockett; daughters, Rebecca Merlene Shroyer of Nacogdoches, Rachel Christine Shroyer of Crockett; brothers and sisters, Judy Morgan and husband, Bill of Crockett, John Danner and wife, Sammy of Crockett, David Goolsby and wife, Linda of Latexo, Linda Horton of Latexo, Mike Goolsby and wife, Connie of Latexo; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by parents, Wilson and Fran Goolsby.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Goolsby Shroyer will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Crockett with Rev. Keeney Dickenson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
