Glenn Auvenshine, age 79, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on January 24, 1934, in Comanche, to Grady and Clara (Keith) Auvenshine. On June 6, 1953, he was united in marriage to Coreta Mernell Vineyard. She preceded him in death on November 14, 2006.

Glenn was a Parts Manager employed by Caterpillar. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Donnie Auvenshine and wife Sande of Brownwood; two daughters, Kathy Fuller and husband Don of Comanche, and Cindy Newman and husband Bobby of Comanche; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jackie Auvenshine of De Leon and Jimmie Auvenshine of Comanche; and one sister, Nell Strong and husband Johnny of Rockwall.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel
BURIAL: Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Comanche County.
VISITATION: Family will receive friends at Comanche funeral Home 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
LUNCH: Lunch for the family will be at East Side Baptist Church at 12 Noon on Wednesday.
