He was born October 21, 1922, at Meade, KS the son of David J. and Annie Martens Ediger.
He was a member of the 1940 Buhler High School State Champion Basketball Team and in 1941 was the First State Farmer for Buhler High School FFA. He had served as a volunteer for the Buhler Fire Department for 10 years then serving as the Chief for 10 years. He had worked for Hesston Corp. He had served in the CPS. He was a member of the Buhler Mennonite church and had served as a trustee for 20 years.
On April 25, 1943 he married Clara Froese at Inman. She survives.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Voth, Katherine Kasper; eight brothers, John, Albert, Arthur, Elmer, Dave, Irven, Raymond, and Rolly (Roland).
Funeral service was Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Buhler Mennonite Church. Burial followed at the Buhler Cemetery.
