Freda Robertson Bays, 96, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord that she loved dearly on Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Bays; her parents, Gillie Dillon Robertson and Bob Robertson; her sister, Alice Ferguson; and her brothers, Perry, Thad and Dalton (Bob) Robertson. Mrs. Bays is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Mary Ann Bays of Vinton, one nephew and several nieces. She is also survived by two special friends, Annie and Aloma Lyle. She retired from Kenrose Mfg. Company and was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church. Later in her life, when her health would allow, she attended Parkway House of Prayer. Bobby and Mary Ann would like to thank the following for the excellent care Mrs. Bays received, Dr. E. Mark Watts (Parkway Physicians), Palliative Care Unit-10 South at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospice. Our very special thanks goes to the wonderful staff at Bethel Ridge Assisted Living (Fincastle). Their love and care for Freda will long be remembered.
