Mary Jane was born in Philadelphia and had been a longtime resident of Lumberton Township.
She enjoyed doing puzzles, knitting and watching TV; especially horror movies. Mary Jane also was a big Elvis fan and she enjoyed riding her electric scooter along the highway.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Edward George and James Michael Burns.
Mary Jane is survived by her son, Tim Prodey; her mother, Myrtle Burns; her sister, Barbara Taylor; her brother, Paul Burns; and her longtime companion, Larry Gonyea.
Services will be held on Monday, March 11 at the Lee Funeral Home, 317 High Street, Mount Holly. Relatives and friends may visit with the family 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in the name of Mary Jane to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Dr., Westampton, NJ 08060.
